Mustang AXLE info?!?!?!??!
I am f'ed. Putting the whole rear end back together with my new 3.73 gears. I bought a couple of good axles off of Ebay because a bad wheel bearing screwed up one of mine. Got ready to slap the babies in and guess what? Too short!!! The axles I bought are from a 99GT and I have a 99 GT. They are the same 28 spline, however, the axle I need is 30.75" instead of the 29" I've got. I measured from outer edge of flange to end tip. So...I am without a car until I can find the right length axle. I am sure not paying $200 for one from Ford.
Can someone help me out? Jglisso@aol.com |

Re: Mustang AXLE info?!?!?!??!
Sounds like you got axles from a 96-98. 99+ are a little longer.
