Question Follow up to horn........

I have posted a question before about if I could put a Dixie Horn on a my 98 Ford Mustang. I am now wondering if putting a Dixie Horn on it would screw up my warranty? Like, when all of you guys put extra's on your car, does it affect the warranty on it?

You can basically do what ever you want to your stang, but if you have a prob and take it to the dealer for that problem, he won't fix it cus, well you broke and didn't leave it alone... as far as for your horn.... if you plan to keep the stock and add your find the wires that connect to it, find out which is + and - and tap your own in with the stock one... if you want to eliminate the stock one and use your, cut the wires to the stock horn, and plug yout horn, in. If you do all this with having your battery disconnected you should be fine... I never rally cared much for my horn, so I don't know what kind of wireing is going to it.... but should only be 2 wires........

I seriously doubt that a dealer would care about an aftermarket horn. unless this "Dixie" horn has more to it than i think than they should be finding other ways to void your warranty.
but seriously, if you have a warranty claim and it is denied due to your horn then you need to find another dealer.its that simple.

Hate to be a wet blanket, but performance cars need a horn that wakes people up, not makes them giggle. I'd run a new circuit and switch for the play horn, and leave the stock horn available for when you just get on it and somebody pulls out in front of you.

Ok, so I like the Dukes of Hazzard a little! I decided to put the horn on my dad and I's 73' Chevy Pickup! Its not orange or anything, I just like the horn! The dealer said there isn't room in the car for the 5 horns and compressor! I am mad but at least I still have my Mustang!
