Default should I get the hypertech progrmmer

I have been looking into the hypertech power programmer and I have had a lot of views on yes and no on the subject
what do you guys think(and for a little more info)
I will be a long while before I get a dyno tunned chip
I dont want to get one now cause for one I am going to be moving to az in about a year
but I will be getting my 4.10s in about a mnth
or would I be better off getting a densecharger and some steeda pullies(for about the same price)
I know I dont want a speedcal cause all the bad I have heard (sorry forgot to add its for my 00gt 5-speed)
sorry so much
thanks
tony

What have you heard bad about the speedcal?

Densecharger = almost worthless...

The pullies should give you a few horses though.

Also, make sure you really want 4.10s before you go that route. Will you be doing a lot of long distance driving out there?

I've never heard anything about the speedcal frying speedos.
Can't tell you for sure its never happened, but it sounds more likely that some folks shouldn't be messing with electrical systems...

Also, ANY CAI kit on a near stock setup is very low on the bang for your buck scale. If folks want to spend 200 dollars for performance, there are much better mods out there...

do you have any ideas I i HAVE NO CLUE WHEN IT COMES TO THE MOD MOTORS I know what worked on my old 5.0
I already have gears and there going in , in the spring as well as the sub frames and at this time I have aboyt 350 to spend and these are some of the things I was looking at.
hypertech programmer 312$

or any 2 of these

densecharger 160$
pullies(steeda) 170$
70mm tb (any brand) 170-200

The best way to spend money on a near stock car (other than gears) would be pullies and a timing adjuster. Getting both from Steeda would run you about $320.
