Post DOHC Valve Train Noise

Does anyone else have valvetrain noise coming from their Cobra's? I hear some noise when I accelerate, and there is also some noise when I apply slight pressure to the clutch pedal. I think the clutch pedal noise is the result of a worn pressure plate but the other noise is from the valve train. Is this common or a problem? The car had 45k on it and I run Mobil 1 5W-30 in it.
