Default Best way to go on a 01 GT

If i do decide to go all out with the basic bolt ons, this would be my set-up....

C&L 80 mm MAF
70mm TB
Steeda Pullies
Steeda TA

but now here is a delema. i was thinking MAC long Tubes. the local shop says they may make as much as 15 hp and 15 Tq. but i remember reading in 5.0 mag a few months back they actually lost torque...

I already have the mac H-pipe, i would go to a Pro Chamber, and I already have the Mac Catback....

Am I Leaving anything out?

But here is something i am really wondering. if you go out and do all those bolt ons, how much would you benefit from getting a custom Dyno Tune with a Burnt Chip? any Disadvantages?

If doing all that will wake up my care enough to hang with new Trans ams, it seems like the safest way to go. outside of selling the damn thing.

once again, all opinions please!

Long tubes add way more torque and hp than shorties. Long tubes all the way!!!

I'd get a set of 3.73 gears ASAP. They will make a huge differance

3.73s (and a shifter if its a manual) should be your next mod...

You'll hang with the transams if you do all the bolt on's plus some gears and some sticky tires. Sounds like you've got a good plan going. If I were you, I'd see if I could find a great deal on a Mac throttle body, and then I'd jump on it! Those things are awesome!
