Oh ok.

The only shift I have trouble with is 4th to 5th... its a stretch!!

So the short throw shifter makes that an easier shift??

it makes it easier to shift fast and is safer on your trans due to stop bolts to it makes it less prone to breaking shift forks in the trans

Awesome! Sounds like its needed

So how hard is the install? Is it done from inside the car?

AND can I use my stock boot and shift knob????
Dont laugh, I know everyone gets rid of them, but I have some kind of attachment to mine! lol

Gotta love the leather wrapped shifty

its very easy to install its only 8 bolts
4 for the dust/noise cover and for the hold the shifter to the trans

and yes it is done from in the car and yes you can reuse the boot and shifter

I got in on this late but I ran 1 mph faster consistantly with the air silencer in.

And this was on an 01 cobra. If it isnt choking a cobra it sure isnt choking a GT.

This is just my opinion backed up by 20+ 1/4 mile runs.

I've proven that one with 200+ runs on 2 different GTs /each.

Headlight out works.

Agreed, w/ an open element filter (that being an aftermarket MAF, K&N FIPK, Steeda CAI, etc...) the headlight out does help. I have proved it MANY times. I've gained as much as a full tenth depending on weather.

Well, here we go, a mod list......

I ran a 13.5 w/ lil traction w/ these mods:

FRPP Headers
Magnaflow O/R X
Flowmaster 1 chamber dumps
4.10's
3000 Stall
Custom Shift Kit
Tranny cooler (doesn't improve ET's, but improves tranny life )
X2C U/L C/A's
removed front sway bar
Steeda U/D Pulleys
C&L 80mm MAF
FIPK Airtube
BBK 75mm TB
TFS Plenum
JMS Chip
weight reduction
26X10 ET Drags
15X8 Prostars out back...

I coulda actually got a couple more tenths outta it, but the tires were WORN out. I was actually spinning a bit outta the hole, cut a 1.9 at best. shoulda got closer to a 13.2-3 IMO.....

now I've got some 4.30's, a new superchip, plan on getting some aftermarket subframe connectors, and have some new Control Arm bushings to be installed.

Also have a bud who is gonna custom tune my chip, and will be getting some BFG DR's....

Should be in 12's or DAMN close
