Ok, it's done... I have sold my car and now own a 2002 TransAm 6spd.. This one came right off the truck, still had the plastic cover on the paint and the foam bumpers. It's reallllllll nice... I got it for 23,500...

Well,
I'm sure I speak for everyone that we're sorry to see you go... Why didn't you try a 99+ GT before jumping off into the dark side? Oh well, just be sure to tell your LS1 buddies to watch out for a yellow 98 GT if they're ever in Dallas....

Thanks Hammer...
I would have, but I have always wanted a car with T-Tops and a 6-spd... trust me, I'm not going to be Joe Blow LS1 driver and say that I can spank every stang I see.. I prob won't even mod or race this car, don't want to screw with the warranty.... I'll still remember my roots in the Ford world.. Thanks for all your help guys, I know I wasn't here long.. who knows, maybe someone in your area will end up with my car, then you can have the pleasure of whooping up on him...

That's too bad. The Trans Am's are really nice cars, once you get over the build quality issue. But atleast you have a warranty. I agree T-tops are nice, so is the 6 speed.
You know there are several other LS1 owners here, you can still stay, we aren't going to hate you! |

Did you trade in your car with all the mods on it (just curious?)
You owe it to yourself to get that T/A to the track and see what that nasty LS1 runs. Once you do run it, swing back in and tell us how ya did. Ohh yea, throw on a Borla cat back. It just looks and sounds so damn good on those F-bodies. And while your at it, add a raised intake lid with a K&N. That stuff won't void your warranty and will add a number of pony's for only a little money. Good Luck.

Yeah, everything went with it. I didn't feel like taking parts off of it, it was hell trying to get them to give me a decent amount of money for it as it was... 1998 w/ 96K miles on it doesn't sell to well down here to a dealer. I have already looked at SLP's website and seen their RamAir H.O hood and CatBack systems.. but, I need to make a few payments on this car before I jump off and start modding it.. I just hit the 300mi mark on the Odometer, and am still getting used to the M6 on it. I cut a mean little scratch yesterday (didnt mean to), typical genious drivers in this area.. Someone cut in front of me so I had to stick and move, and I think I moved a little too much... I have already have 2 challenges in this car.. the first one was a joke... Some kids in a Dodge Dakota (not R/T) with mud tires challenged me one night about 11pm.. Then last night a Civic with a fart can wanted to play on the highway... No racing for me yet...

Hey Steeda, I know how you feel about the 98. I have one myself, and I've saved up about $10 k for a down payment on a 01' plus Cobra and a supercharger. I've had just about enough of my 98 as well. Sorry to see you go, even though I don't post a lot I'm here every day and it sucks to see a fellow 98er go.
