Default Re: top speed

You can turn the limiter off with most of the tuners.

Stone stock the 05-09’s will go about 151mph

At 450rwhp with stock aerodynamics I got 167mph out of it

With 450rwhp, GT500 front end/hood and a belly pan from the splitter to the K-member I got 178mph out of it.

I’m just finishing a "chassis up" build with 675rwhp, full length belly pan and a properly designed rear diffuser and confident it will go 200.

All speeds taken with GPS.

The reason the speed limiters are on the cars is the rating on the tires. All manufacturers do it. My F-150 for instance has the speed limiter at 105mph, that is also what the stock tires were rated at.
