Question 98 Cobra clutch question

i have a 98 cobra with a king cobra clutch.
after a couple hard shifts (high rpm), the pedal throw becomes shorter, i'm under the impression that the clutch in these cars is self-adjusting, so is this normal ?
It becomes short enough to make me wonder if i'm going to be able keep driving.
Then after a little while it returns to normal.
Do I have a problem??
