water/methanol injection
There is a new craze gents coming out of the racing world called water injection. Now this is suppose to be very cheap ( $299-$380) for the kit, extra for the methanol. Now the ad's are claiming 60hp gain off stock. Tell me what do u think looks like this beat's turbo or supercharging as far as the dollars and sense. What do you guy's think is it worth the cost?

Hate to say it but it is not a new idea. World War 1 fighters used it. It basically cools the intake charge like a intercooler or icing the intake. But the down side is if you inject to much water you run the risk of a cool drop of water hitting your piston and basically breaking it.

click me
there is a quick link to just ONE place that sells kits. I do not condone this at all. I would rather run NOS on my car than water. With my luck Ill frag a piston. Thanks for the words Mustang92. I was hoping that some one else would remember the old aircraft systems other than me. Mike
