Do you wish too?
Sometimes I really wish I could just throw on some stage II ported Trick Flow heads, A Performer intake, a B303 cam bump the timing and then I realize that it will take 5 years for there to be more than two companys to offer aftermarket engine bolt-ons for the 4.6. Anyone else wish the aftermarket would get off there *** and make us stuff so we don't have to boost or bottle feed to get low 12's?

It would be nice but to be honest I'm having fun right now running what I have. I mean I'm not breaking any parts and I have one of the fastest NA 00 GT's around my parts.

The parts will come soon enough but it is hard to be patient. It's just as well, though, because if the market opened up all of a sudden I wouldn't have any money to buy anything anyway It's also going to take a lot more for me to get my 96 in the game. I was shooting a commercial for one of our local Ford dealers here in town this morning (cold KS weather sucks) and I got to drive a fully loaded 2000 GT. I was told it was ok to open it up a bit so I did. Very nice. I can only imagine what a modded one feels like. How are they geared from the factory? 3:27's? 2:78's? Anyway, you guys are lucky to have them. Maybe someday I will as well but right now i'm having fun with mine.

Thanks for the info. I knew I was getting up in the RPM's quicker but I couldn't tell if it was just more horsepower or what.

All of the 4.6ers are waiting to exhale when the aftermarket will have packages available.
Sean Hyland does have cams available though. |
