Red face BOG BOG BOG After NOS on a 96GT

I've been noticing something a bit odd with my nitro system latly. I have the 125hp shot for a 96 Mustang GT. After I run the juice I will bog for a few minutes after I turn it off. In other words, I'll take off with the juice and blow away a LT1, then when I turn around I will bog with the juice off. By the time I get back to the start of the quarter mile I'll be fine again. Any one have any ideas?

My little Gold GT (Sleeper-most Camaros call it) has:
Nos Quick Shot, FMS pulleys, 70MM tb, Borla Back-cat, B&M Ripper, 3.73 FMS gears, K&N air, FMS headers. My wants? ----The new custom heads Ford makes for the SOHC 4.6 Engine, Sport springs, high volume oil pump, and a wedge tray.

the fuel pump could be stressing, as it tries to catch up w/ the motor's sudden gobbling of fuel

hmmmm, injectors freezin up? does the car get sluggish after a 75hp shot? might be too much juice for stock injectors.

I think you may not be using the full NOS on the spray run. There may be a residual mix of this and regular fuel in the combustion causing a rich condition maybe for the return trip. Maybe you just need to change plugs..

Check your plugs right after a run, I'll bet they are rich and becoming fuel fouled. If they are then you either need to run it leaner on the juice (which is fun since it means more HP) or you may want to try a hotter plug. Both of these can lead to detonation so it should be done carefully: make the change and then do a short 3rd or 4th gear pull and then yank the plugs and look for excessive lean condition or detonation. Good luck..
