Brake Steer

I have an intermittent problem with brake steer. Every so often, when I get on the brakes a little hard, the car will pull.

-It sometimes pulls to the left, and sometimes to the right.

-I have tried to get it to do it by driving straight and then laying on the brakes pretty hard (but not close to skidding) and it won't do it.

-When it does do it, it is bad enough that in an pinch, it could cause a bad situation.

I could understand if it always pulled to one side, but the randomness and rarity of this problem has me stumped.

Anybody else run into this?

yea mines does it to sometimes just seems like one side is grabbing more than the other for some reason

if the wheel is turned even a little it will pull.

also, make sure it isn't just pulling down the camber of the road...

You're right, I played around with it, and it seems to pull whenever the wheel isnt dead center and I lay on the brakes.

I've never noticed this with any other kind of car i've driven.

Is this normal then? Is there any way to stop it?

You could always have your alignment checked for peace of mind.

I agree with Blue00GT. It is most likely your alignment.
If your alignment is toed out, the car will seem to follow the rut or unevenness of the road. I have mine set at 1/16" toe out and it will do that quite a bit on the highway when I drive over uneven or grooved road, even without the brakes. But for track, it works great.

For the street, you may want to toe in slightly. It will feel straighter and give you more nimble feel at low speed.
