Default where to begin

Ok, heres the deal, im thinkin about buying a 2001, or 2002 gt, and i was wondering, what are some good mods to do from the start, that arent to expensive (since ill be making some good payments), but have pretty good gains, i was alredy planning on doing the exhaust, but my current 87 is a carb, so im not too familiar with fuel injection upgrades and stuff like that, what sort of stuff should i do, mass air? tb? injectors? what do yall recommend, i know you all probably here questions like these all the time, but i do appreciate the time and help

Best first mod is gears and a shifter (if a manual)
Other good starter bolt-ons are pulleys and a K&N air filter.

If you plan on doing much more than the basic bolt-on stuff, I would go ahead and get some sub-frames in there early too.

Later mods:
MAF, Cold air kit, X\H Pipe

The T/B and injectors are fine until you start into the heavy stuff (forced induction\engine work)
