4.6 swap to a fox body???

Has anyone here swaped a 4.6 into A foxboby stang? I recently bought a 4.6 out of a highway patrol car, I got everything with it, eng, trans, computer, harness, ect. I have a 89 4 cyl. hatch I was thinking of putting it into. What i was wondering is there any fitment problems I will be faceing, or headers, exhaust? Any info would be helpful. Thanks

I've seen it done with the DOHC motors. The 4.6 you have really isn't worth doing the swap with IMO, since its a hyper-whatever piston motor which won't stand more than 8 lbs boost without grenading, has a plastic intake, etc.

The way to go is with a Cobra motor. Why do you want an OHC motor in the car anyway? Parts are way easier for a 5.0.

I wanted to put it in there because I have the car with no motor in it, and I got a good deal on this motor/tranny set up. Besides I already have two 5.0s. I just thought it would be somthing diffrent.

Don't know exactly what you'll run into, but I've seen it done. Hope you're ready to pay out the rear for 4.6 mods...
