Ight...I have a friend who has a 96 Mustang GT 4.6....It has stock exhaust right now on it but hes wanting to make it LOUD but sound good all at the same time...Does anybody have any tips or ideas on what would be good to do?? Right now we're just planning on putting on straight pips...just replace the mufflers wit pipeing but i was told that it is loud but it doesn't sound all that great...
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanx, Brandon |

I don't think just throwing on a set of straight pipe would be that cool on a near stock car. An off road X/H-pipe with some aftermarket mufflers/Catback, will sound awesome, and add some performance.

exhaust
i had a bone stock 96 gt and put on a mac off road x and it was measured at 22 horse at the wheels! its a great thing to do for aonly 150.00 then every mod you do will only get more performance for having the exhaust! i only have k&n filter intake spacer ram air off road x flowmaster mufflers and mac pulleys and run a 14.5 so i would recomend it

I regret not saving for the L/T and also the short x-pipe. Now I have to get the long tubes and another x-pipe (No cats of course)...

You can check mustangexhaust.com for some sound clips. Saving your money for long tubes along with the matching h pipe or pro chamber is worth it.
