SERIOUS hp?
Hey guys, just found the site. I have a 96 Towncar that I want to do some serious modifications to. I'm not sure where to start though. I want the car to be able to be a daily driver, although I won't be driving on the street a lot.
I'm looking for BIG hp numbers. like 500+ I want to fit a set of skinnies and slicks for the track. Convert to manual gearbox. Serious internal mods for the 4.6, or swap to bigger motor? Power adder? I'm not gonna gut the car though. Full weight. What are the things I should know?

Re: SERIOUS hp?
sounds like you got money to blow...that's what it's gonna take to get 500 horse out of a 4.6. if $ were no object, i would go w/ an ATI Pro-charger w/ the one of biggest impellers they make, or a turbo kit. not sure if either are available for the Towncar setup though. gonna need to strengthen internals of the motor obviously, and while in there do up a stroker crank. that's where i would start. good luck

Re: SERIOUS hp?
Talk to VT at www.VTengines.com they built mine and they did an amazing job. Your best bet would be turbos with a built 4.6L
