Default What is this light for?

Bought a 2000 GT last week and the shifter is kind of hard to move so I removed the center console to get to the shifter and shifter cable. When I removed the part with the cup holders there was a miniature light just to the left of the cup holder. What is the light for?

Default Re: What is this light for?

I have determined that it did not come from the factory and must have been used with an aftermarket alarm system.
