Post Painting a Spoiler

I have a new spoiler from steeda that came into day and I wan't to paint it myself. We have a professional paint gun that I borrowed from my work, but where do I get the paint from and what color and kind of primer do I use. I have a black 98 gt. What are some good tips when painting something for a car.
