Post 2 Different Types of Plugs!?

I installed some new NGK V-Power plugs in my snake the other day and noticed that the factory plugs were different on each side of the engine! I first noticed the electrodes looked a little different and the plugs had different color paint on the ends of them. The numbers are also different. Does anyone know the reason for this? By the way, the car does run better with the new plugs.

That's normal, but I forgot why... I'd have to look it up.

Cool

Dude, I changed my plugs on Saturday and found the same thing. Two different kinds, one kind on the left and another on the right sides. Yeah, could someone explain why the heck Ford would do this. Mind you neither of the two types of plugs were the ones that were recommended for the car. Heck it's right there on the label under the hood, people!! They can't even follow their own instructions.
