Sacreligous question
I hate to ask, but I have to know. Will most bolt on performance parts (cold air intake, supercharger, etc) built for the 4.6 mustang also work on other 4.6 FoMoCo products? I have a 96 Grand Marquis that I would like to be faster.

Maybe.
A supercharger will, a CAI may not. It all depends on the location of stuff underhood. If you want the car to be fast, the first thing you will need is a chip, I think. Call me crazy, but I'd guess the ECU is flashed a little different on the big Merc's. As far as things bolting on, I don't see why not.

In traveling the web for information about my Mustang, I've run across a lot of sites dedicated to improving the Crown Vic, Grand Marquis, T-Bird, etc. with the 4.6.
Here is one such site but I'm sure there are others... You might try doing a Google search for something like "Grand Marquis supercharger" to find more. http://www.mitchsplace.com/crownvicmuscle/index.html

Sacriligous would be putting a brand-x engine in your Ford!
However one day I will be putting a Ford engine in a 67 Chevy II, with a Ford Transmission, and a Ford rear end! I realize a fixation on revenge is a a bad thing, but I once met a cretin from Alabama who defiled a 70 Mach1 with a 400 smallblock. And at the super chevy show in Richmond Va I've seen more than a few stangs with the brand-x for motivation. This cross-breeding thing only works with mammals, not cars.
