Default best exhaust setup while staying perfectly smog legal..

but everyone says flows sound the best..

Any exhaust setup is emissions legal as long as you're running cats. The setup I'd go with is MAC longtubes with a matching h-pipe with cats and Flowmaster 2-chambers out back. I think Flows are by far the best sounding mufflers.

Ive heard, i guess just dumb rumors are all they are, but that MAC doesn't make very good headers. Then again alot of people i know have them, so that must be a dumb rumor.

Should i stick with an h-pipe over the x-pipe? THe h-pipe gives a much better sound at lower rpm's...or so ive been reading..as the x-pipe gives it at higher rpms?.. When i change my exhaust out, im going to change alot of it at the same time, to make it easier.

And with warranty issues, they can only void the warranty on my exhaust system right? Not the whole car? Thanks for all yer help.

Watch out for the longtube header and h-pipe with cat-setup. A buddy of mine has a GT with BBK longtubes and h-pipe with cats and it failed emissions. something about where the O2 sensor was on the h-pipe and it not being able to heat up quickly enough to really have the cats clean the air. Ill see if i can get a-hold of him, but u may want to look into it. I think there might also have been an article in 5.0Mustang magazine about this. This maybe a one in a million thing, I dont know but u may want to research it a little more.
