Default Induction problem

Hi, I am planning on adding a set of MAC long tube headers 1 3/4...a 3" prochamber...and a 3" catback to my 97 automatic GT.....my situation lies in balancing that all with intake now....

what should i do??? w/o screwing with the manifold?

do you all reccomend the MAC cold air kit??? or the K & N FIPK???

the mac is like $135 while i found the kand n to be 240 ish....

which has a better airflow etc? i know the MAC utilizes the fender well for colder air...and i think the kandn stays inside the air box area...but the airbox is just removed...

any intake suggestions to complement my planned exhaust?

thanks!!

First of all, you really dont need that kind of exhaust system unless ur gonna be making like 400+ hp. As far as the intakes, they both work great and both are easy to install. I run the FIPK and I think its great. My friends 94 has the MAC. I think it all depends on if you want the polished finish or not. Power increase is gonna be about the same, (your not gonna get 20 hp over the FIPK just cuse the MAC is in the fenderwall). I also use a FRPP 70mm throttle body on my car and although I didnt really feel any noticable power gains, (magazine testing only claims 4-5, sometimes 6), I do think that there is better throttle response and its a good supporting piece if I ever add a blower.

I just ordered the DENSECHARGER cold air intake. It is getting much better reviews compared to the MAC/BBK cold air intake!
