Question Help with exhaust!!!

I am a complete novice when it comes to mustangs. I am interested in getting the best sound/performance for the money. I have been told to have two chamber flows welded on, but I'm not sure if that will be too loud. Any suggestions?

Question

I got a 2001 Mustang GT, and i put two chamber flowmasters on it. The sound is good, but it isnt loud enough for me. It really isnt all that loud. I think that is the best exhaust to get. Borla is pretty, but the sound is quite. My advice is get the two chamber flows and get a bassani x -pipe along with it. You are going to spen about 4- 500 dollars, but the sound will be great and power will increases

Cool

Bstang... I also have a 2001 GT, and want to put the two chamber flowmasters on it. Do you happen to have the part number for the replacement mufflers, or did you put the cat-back on it. I'm stock so the mandrel bent pipes won't really gain me anything. I'm just looking to have Flowmasters welded in. Thanks, Silver....

I have a 2000 GT and I just installed a Bassani X-Pipe w/cats and a Bassani Quiet-Thunder Cats-Back with 3 1/2" tips. It gives a nice loud rumble at start up then a low almost silent pur as it idles. But as you accelerate it sounds nice and loud and clean. The best part is the nice increasing rumble as you deccelerate to a stop. It was an easy install (1 1/2 hours) and I got a killer deal on the system ($946.00) all stainless steel so no need to replace
It is a very respectful system! It can be as loud as you want it to be depending upon how much pedal you give it, on the same note it can be quiet if you just feather the pedal that way you can sneak into the driveway during the wee hours of the morning without waking up the neighborhood, or sneak the girlfriend home during the wee hours of the morning without her daddy realizing she's not in bed already Got the system at:
5.0 Pro-Shop
522 Amherst St(unit 25)
Nashua,NH 03063
(603)579-9741
Spoke with a guy named Bill and purchased from a guy named Dave. Check them out. They are a direct Bassani dealership so they can give you the best prices. I got mine for dealer cost! Maybe it was because I was a first time customer or because I spoke with them at the Fun Ford Weekend event at Epping,NH (which they sponsored) the week prior to purchasing.
Good luck,
RUZMAN
