Default air silencer removal mod...

does my 89 lx mustang have an air silencer?? if so, where is it, what does it look like, and how do i remove it???

The air silencer is on the backside of the stock air-box. It sticks into the inner fender. All mustangs CAME with one, but very rarely do you actully find one that still has one.

look under the front right bumper and you will see a big plastic piece. i remeber when i took it out i had to finagle it around a bit before it would come out. but it should pull out of there pretty easily. cant remeber if it had a bolt or where it was, but you should be able to figure it out from looking under there.

this may sound stupid but if you do find one up in thar you might want to save it or find someone that is restoring a 5.0 and looking for one
