Starting Problems

I Have A 99 Gt Mustang With 113,000 Miles I Have Replaced The Battery And Alternator, But If It Sets For More Than One Day It Has Problems Starting, After 3 Days It Needs To Be Jumped Started. What Could Be Causing This?

Re: Starting Problems

Bad ground possibly. You need to put a meter on it and see what kind of voltage it's putting out with the car off key on, and key on car off, and then key on car on. Compare those with the readings 1 day later.

it has a draw...the easyest and best way to check is to take the neg battery terminal off and use a multimeter ...hook up the ground side of the meter to the neg batter side and the pos to the neg terminal....make sure the key is off and the door is closed.every thing off even the hood light if it has one..then turn the meter to check amps..if it was normal there will be less that one amp draw...now u pull fuse one by one and when u see the amps drop thats the circit with the problem and u have to figure out whats drawing on that circit....if u cant check it by amps u can check it by volts but its not as accurate....no more than 4 volt draw checked the same way
