Steam cleaning engine?

Is doing this bad for the engine, any negative effects?

I would be kinda leery steam cleaning these later model engines. With all the sensors and electrical crap nowadays, I would think the high pressure from a steam cleaner wouldn't be advantageous or friendly to the systems.

I would go with gunk and a garden hose rinse.
