Post Steeda Timing Adjuster

Do any of you modular guys have this installed? I am going to order this tomorrow and I'm wondering how the install went and the performance of the modification after you were done. Installation looks pretty easy but I have piggyback pulleys so I need the adapter as well. Lance

Cool

I'd hate to dissuade you but:

From the responses that I have heard from those who have the unit, the gain is minimal on N/A engines for the price they paid....

Anyone out there who actually has the unit?

I have it on my 99 gt. I have been able to gain about a 10th playing with it it likes about 13 degrees, but overall performance it wasn't worth te cash. It's really more of a tool to keep the detenation demons away when I put the silly gas on it next week.

Thumbs down

I tried it. It was a pain in the **s. I was only able to get 2 degrees additional advance from it. I think it is really intended for Supercharged applications were altering the timing can produce some real yeilds in HP. I took it off and sold it.

Well, It's in the car and it didn't solve my problem but it did give me 10hp easy at 16 degrees. The install was fairly simple but the Ac compressor was a little bit of a pain in the a$$. It makes the engine really race to redline but I'm so pissed that I can't solve the car's small lack of power that I'm selling the car. I don't want to spend $$ trying to find a ghost. Someone buying my car would never know the difference.
