steeda timing adjuster

h i am really curious? with the steeda timing adjuster does that come with a new timing gear? if so ho log of labor does that require? or is it something i will have to take in?

You can install the Steeda timing adjuster in a few hours, no problem. Go with the UPR adjuster if you want it to fit with non steeda pullies. Steeda pullies are required when using the Steeda adjuster.

Acutally, I don't believe that is true. I think the only requirement for the t/a to fit is that the pullies are not the piggyback type.

You don't need steeda pullies for the timing adjuster to work. I had it on my 98 cobra without there pullies.

You should be able to intall the T/A yourself- it comes w/ good instructions. And, you do not have to use Steeda pulleys w/ the Steeda T/A.

the t/a works with the stock or steeda pullies

the old(cheaper) upr t/a is just the old steeda t/a

I have not heard much about the new one(upr that is)

I haven't done it yet, but I haven't read or heard of one bad thing happen when bumping the timing. This has been done for years with the 5.0's.

The only problem I can think of when bumping the timing would be if you didn't use the appropriate octane of gas for a long period of time.
