Steeda Timing Adjustor
Do you guys think I'd benefit from one at this point? If so, advanced to what degree? I'm running out of mods and this is one of the few under 200 bucks that I want. I don't have a supercharger so I don't know how much I'll benefit from it.

Yeah, you will. Especially in low end torque, which is a very good thing to improve on a Cobra.
Start at 14 and experiment. I run at 15. |

Although I don't have solid numbers to back it up I'd say the adjuster was good for about .75 MPH and half a tenth in the quarter on my car. I run 14 currently and haven't played with anything higher than that. A cobra may pick up more that my car.

Sounds good. I found it for $165. What labor is involved? When it comes to this department, it is one that i have NEVER experimented with or worked on.

Not to bad it took me about 20 minutes. Basically you have to remove the crank pulley bolt, align the timing hub on the crank pulley, install new bolt and tourqe to specs. Then release belt, unbolt the A/C compressor(3 10mm bolts) and just let it hang, remove factory crank sensor, install sensor in provided bracket, install bracket and sensor into factory location, check clearance between trigger wheel and sensor, bolt compressor back in, re-install belt and set timing.

Good mod. You should try it.
Good mod even after a S/C. Install not hard. Steeda has some tips on their website. |
