Latest ¼ mile times
Well they were just as slow as before, but I'll let everyone have a look anyway. The weather was less than optimal; 70° F, 56% Humidity, 30.01 inPa, and a headwind of 20.7 mph (ghusts up to 29.9). On the bright side, if I can learn to cut a light, bracket racing would be a piece of cake.

Tires are ~3000 mile Kumho 245/45/ZR17's. Well what do you think? Off-road H pipe, lower control arms, etc... I don't want to mess with the engine too much as I have a 351W sitting in my garage that I will be building up eventually. |

Man, you should be faster than that. Was your car spinning bad? Well, have you tried higher timming? I ran my car with about 16* when it was basically stock. If I were you I would put a shift kit in the tranny and then get a good stall converter. Those should get you either into the 14's or damn close. An off road H pipe is a good idea too. If you were spinning, then you will really spin with a converter so you should get some tires that will grip the track. Hope this helps man. Good Luck.

2.3 second 60ft time!
get that around 2.0 and you'll take atleast a half second off your time. Probably more. Theres something else wrong too, because my dad used to have basically the same car (95GT AOD-E) but it even had stock gears, 3.08's i believe. I took it to the track a few times, got like 2.2 60fts and cut 15.40's on very hot nights. The only "mod" was a K&N, hell the timing wasn't even touched. something just isnt right, I'd do a compression check on it, and maybe even a dyno tune good luck with it, -Drew

i agree
i agree.
When my maf sensor was dirty and i was only pushing out 145 to the tire hp wise and 197 torque, i ran a 16.2 with a 2.3 60 at 85 mph. I cleaned the sensor and dynotuned and i got 14.4 at 96mph with a 2.2 60foot. I am also pushing 215 hp and 281 torque to the tire and i just have small bolt ons. I would suggest the offroad h and pullies and to hit the dyno. My car has the same stuff as yours only i have headers/off road h and a CAI along with pullies. 95 vert aode gt with a shift kit.
