Stupid question
 

I have a stupid question that i have gotten to many different answers to.
Does the PI Head swap apply to a 2000gt and if so what is the performance increase.
If it is not can the be bought anywhere.

your car has the PI heads. they were switched in 99 to improve power (PI = power improved). that is the reason for the increase in horsepower from the earlier cars to then.

My suggestion if you really want to do head work is to find a really nice place to do some good port work on them. Check out places like Foxlakeracing.com and SeanHylandMotorsport for nice 4.6 heads and parts but do your research first because there are other mods that will get you just as much horsepower as getting your heads ported and cost less. I wouldnt do anything to your heads if you do have a 00 GT unless you get a blower or have done all the other mods - accufab, pulleys, exhaust, gears and so on. Check out those two sites to get an idea of what they do with their heads then look around some more and checks places around where you live to see what they have.

If you have a 00 GT then all you need is full exhaust and a blower (& all for under 4K ) and you are set. There are a ton of other things you can do but with the above mentioned mods you will have plenty of power!

As stated, you have the PI motor.
Your options as far as performance beyond simple bolt on's are a naturally aspirated build up (all motor,) forced induction (turbo or supercharger,) or nitrous.
