Subframe connectors in convertible?
Subframe connectors help stiffen the frame on the car, and aid in suspension. Is this a correct supposition? If this is indeed the case, do they offer anything to a convertible, since convertibles already have much chassis stiffening due to the support for their roofless construction?

Dude... all the 99+ GTs have subframe connectors already. Discovered that 2 weeks ago when a buddy was "trying" to add some to his vert.

Does anyone know about subframe connectors possibly being stock on a '97 GT convertible?

I had to put in subframe connectors on my '98 GT vert. The body was twisting too much and the passenger window kept going out of alignment. After I put in KB super subs with the complete matrix kit, the window has stayed aligned and the body doesn't "roll" from side to side as much when I turn corners... The matrix kit was almost too much as it has REALLY made the overall ride much stiffer. I am pretty certain that the '97 verts didn't come with subframes and do need them... I was told that eventually the verts body will "tear" with hard driving... I think the '97s came with a Strut Tower brace which the '98s did not... that's probably what you are thinking about... But then I am no pro...

I was planning on adding subframes to the body when I do my springs/shocks mod. $50 is worth it for the reported improvement it makes on the feel of the car.
Thanks for your info GaryDawg.
