Default Cost of switching to EFI from a Carb, worth it?

Hi, I have an 83' 5.0 HO and I was thinking about converting it over to EFI from an 86' 5.0. Any ideas on how much this will cost or tips. I mainly want to have very good driveability. I use my car daily but want to have a decent 0-60 time too. I don't really race this car. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

In all honesty, don't use the 86 EFI system. Find an 89-93 EFI setup. It'll allow for more rooms for modifications and a slightly better fuel economy.

Stepping from Carb to EFI is expensive. Going the other way isn't. Figure on an intake manifold, gas tank, computer, wiring, fuel lines, distributor all the related sensor etc. Makes for an interesting conversion, and if you're up for the challenge then why not?

I will ask tho, why convert? A properly setup carb'd car is very driveable, can get good gas mileage and makes slightly more horsepower than an equal EFI setup. Just some things to consider.
