Cool Throttle Position Sensor

What's the easiest way to tell whether the TPS is actually giving a WOT signal to the processor? Any ideas? I need some techies to the rescue

Use a multi-meter to measure the ouput voltage.

4.5-5.0 VDC should be WOT.

Connect a voltmeter to the center wire on you TPS and with the key on open the throttle. If its working the voltage will increase, thus it is sending a signal.

I don't know if this helps, but I found this at Promustang.com. It tells you how to check your TPS voltage, and adjust it. But I think it's for a 5.0. Our 4.6 is a little different looking, but maybe this will help.

Good Luck!

Thanks folks,

The nitrous is about to go on this weekend, and it uses the signal from the TPS to start/adjust the juice flow...

Just making sure everything is a thumbs up BEFORE installation...
