Timing is set from the factory at 10 degrees BTDC. Only way to change it is either with a chip or a Steeda Timing Adjuster or Unlimited Performance Racing Timing Adjuster. The adjusters are really wonderful items in that they allow you to move the timing around where you want it. Steeda unit is $169 while the UPR is about $140. Good luck!
