I'm almost positive that you don't need the pulleys for the timing adjuster. There is a steeda group purchase going on at www.blueovalnews.com if you want to get in on it. I am getting the Steeda timing adjuster, pulleys, and tri-ax and am going to save like $20-30 on each item.

The Steeda TA works just fine with the stock pulleys, Steeda pulleys, and ASP pulleys. It can also work with March pulleys with an adapter.

So you don't HAVE to get the pulleys, although they compliment each other extremely well and as long as the price is good...
