tired of getting picked on by cobras
i have a 07 gt that is bone stock 5spd 3.31 cogs ect ect and i am looking to get my car to drop atleast a full second on my e.t. which is curently a 9.2418 @ 78.58 with my best ever (gotta love cold winter air) being a 9.035 @ 81.76 i know a blower or turbo will do it but my wife put me on a tight budget lol. so basiclly i am wondering what parts will give me the most bang for my buck. i dont want to change the gears cause i like the 27 mpg it gets. what CAI, programer (and what top speed can you get out of it), ect, ect, do you recomend? i am tired of my buddy picking on me with the 04 cobra (8.347 @ 87.28 sleeping on the line)
thanks for your opinions |
Re: tired of getting picked on by cobras
Looking to improve a full second? Not with only bolt-ons. A wet nitrous system, or really short gears (4.56:1) will get you fairly close. Any CAI and tuner package will give you good gains, but make sure you have a REPUTABLE tune. A 93 octane tune will give you excellent gains, but this will not but you anywhere near a Terminator.

Re: tired of getting picked on by cobras
i have a V6 2006 mustang and i seriously get picked on by mid 90's GT models. i'm like, can't you tell it's a V6? and besides, i'm not gonna race, i don't have money to waste gas. yeah that's my excuse.

Re: tired of getting picked on by cobras
You know that feeling you get when a ricer just won't get off your ass! even though you've been toying with him for a good 20 miles? well guess what?? that's probably how your buddy feels in his terminator!!! don't get me wrong...I drive a bad-ass 06 GT with a few mods...shaker hoodscoop, ford racing exhaust,etc...but let's keep it real, unless your ready to drop some real cash down on a ken-bell supercharger...Than your in dreamland just like them ricers!!! but hey,you still have a bad-ass mustang!!!!

Re: tired of getting picked on by cobras
i would do a C&L cai and diablosport tuner, nitto drag radials, and a 150 shot of nitrous. that should do the trick on your friends 04. it should cost about $1700 ish or so. good luck!
