![]() You should check there main site , but from what i have read from these forums and other sites forum ,,,, most people do not like the hypertech and that they really don't use it very much . Let us know on this forum how you like it and what gains you got for the cost !!

![]() Even back in the GM world we never saw much gain from Hypertech. We used places like Fastchip.com or superchips. I would get a chip only after I had headers, cat back, x-pipe, pulleys, ignition box, then I might look into a chip not anytime before.

![]() You can order the hypertech PPIII from Jegs online. We paid $350 for ours.
Personally, I really like it. It makes a huge difference in throttle response, and seems to pull harder. However, I have no dyno #'s to give you to back up that claim....I just go by seat-of-your-pants sensors. ![]() There is a big difference between buying a programmer, and a burned chip......

![]() I thought my hypertech made a difference when I got it and the numbers at the track said other wise. It did remove my rev limiter so I paid 160 bucks for my GM chip for that. Like I said I went to fastchip and the times seemed better, but Ed Wright makes those chips and he builds bad *****$ gm 350's. He also asked my cam lift/duration and so on so it was more specific to my ride.

![]() In my opinion, don't do with hypertech. Like the other guys said, go with Fastchip or Superchip. Originally I used hypertech and to be honest, i think it slowed my car some. The plus to it though is that you can get rid of the rev limiter and speed governer. However, if it's horsepower you are looking for go with a chip. You will gain at least 15 horses and about 10ft/lbs of torque. On the other end of the spectrum you could take the same money you will pay for the programmer and buy some decent bolt-ons.

![]() Even on hot rod tv they added headers with a cat back and chip at once. For the money I really think you will see much better results with a cam, or headers and x pipe and come in for less money.

![]() Anyone played with the Variable Diablo Sport Chip. I read about it in a magazine but haven't had time to really look around for it. It supposedly has multiple burns on it at different levels. They program it with your modifications and computer code. You get a dial or switch of some sort and you can "turn key" it through normal, firm, and "kick **" modes with a key. Haven't seen anyone talk about it though. Diablo seems to be all that Steeda sells, just wondering how well the chip works. I have a SuperChip right now, all it did for me was firm the tranny a litte and improve mpg some. Other than that, I didn't notice anything really.

![]() I have a Power Programmer III for my '97 GT, with cat-backs and underdrive pullys already installed. It did make my car faster, dropped the 1/4 times nearly a full second. The biggest down side i have is that it tells the computer that it is using 93 octane, and i can only buy 91 around here.. You can set it up to turn the fan on sooner (176) so you can run a 180 thermo. and change the rev limit, unless you have an auto, thats about all you can do.. Was it worth the $350? Well I bought it cause its ad said you can correct the speedo if using different gears or tires... That was B-S. Only on some models. To tell you the truth, i want to sell it anyway, cause the SC and Turbo kits i am looking at come with a preprogrammed chip...
