Auto Trans Question
I am planning a new project car and need some help/ advice. I will be putting a late model 5.0ish into a 73 Mustang and would like an automatic overdrive trans. My questions are....
1) Which trans is better - 4R70W or the AODE? (I would prefer a computer controlled trans - hence no AOD.) 2) How much horsepower will these things safely handle? 3) What year and model will bolt to a 5.0. I know a 94-95 Mustang had an AODE, but what about the 4R70W? 4) Who makes the best shift kit? Thanks for all your help. You guys are awsome!!!! |

Im not sure, but I think the 4R70W is simply a "wide ratio" AODE, which would be preferable, so go with that one.
