Smile airbag light flashing at all times

Recently i've noticed that the air bag light on my 1990 mustang gt is flashing constantlym,it just happened by itself,does anyone know how to reset it or turn it off without going to the dealer?it's there a battery (back up supply)for the air bag to be replaced.Thanks for any info on the subjet

The flashing light could also indicate a malfunction in the airbag system. Basically your airbag will not deploy now if you get in an accident. There are several accelerometers mounted in the car that sense the force of an accident and trigger the airbag. A bad connection, cut wire, bad sensor etc.. could cause this.

Mine does the same thing, its kinda funny considering I dont even have airbags to begin with. John

WTF!!!! The 90's were the first year for an Airbag! Do you have a 90 dash in there? Very weird

Mine did that when I first got it. Not only was the air bag light on but it made this loud beeping sound. There is a blue box be hind the stereo if you disconnect it both will go away. I don't know if the air bag will work then?
