Default Transmission question

Hey all,

Will a 4R70W from a 1995 4.6L Thunderbird work in my 'Stang? I have a 1996 GT. I found a pretty sweet deal on one. It was recently rebuilt (November) using Borg Warner friction plates, new steel plates, larger direct clutch pack (8 vs. stock 6 friction disks), replaced roller clutch with mechanical diode, Fairbanks Stage 2 Shift kit, HD torque converter, Raybestos Kevlar HD Overdrive band, larger OD Servo. Thanks guys.

-Bennett

Don't think so. The computer controlls the shifting of the tranny and I do not think that the Mustang computer would communicate with the T-Bird trans. I even believe that the wire harness that plugs into the trans is different.
