Default Trip meter reset

Newbie here. I have a stupid question hope some supper tech can help me. My trip meter keep reset to zero after I has turn off the engine for a wile. What up with that???? Help OH I have a 2000 GT.

That sounds like a Ford warrenty problem. How many miles are on the car. You may need a new cluster.

It certainly sounds like it. It could just be a factory default. Things wear out, short, whatever the case. I would suggest taking it to the dealer you purchased it from and see if you still have your warrenty. Then have them replace it. If you don't have a warrenty left, see if you can find one on ebay or something. Best advice I can give you. Hope it helps. Later.
