Upgrading to Diablo Chip in 2000 Saleen
 

I have a buddy that suggested I upgrade the chip in my Saleen to a Diablo chip and have it programmed for the various upgrades I have in my Pony. Has anyone done this before? Is the Saleen chip just as programmable?

I would contact saleen and see what they say. Any chip from them may be set for any mods that are specific to the saleen. Also, there are better chips than the Diablo. Autologic and Fordchip are better than the diablo. Check out there sites, and call saleen first. That is just my 2 cents.

First of all... What upgrades have you done in addition to what came with the Saleen?

Saleen would be a good call to make and see what they think...

If its very minor stuff, an aftermarket chip will give you very little as the Saleen already comes with the computer already set up to make the most of the Saleen setup...

If you have some moderate to large changes and it seems that a different chip\tune would be worth the cash, then I would suggest a Dyno-tuned Autologic or Fordchip setup.
