![]() Hi,
I am planning on buying a used hypertech programmer from someone I know but I had a question: The Model of programmer I am buying is good for 99-01 Mustang GT's. The owner has assured my that he has set his cars programming back to stock, so the programmer should be as good as new. My problem is that he has a '99 while mine is a '00. I thought I remember reading somewhere that once the programmer has been used once, it can be used for a different car ONLY if its the exact same model year, even though it was originally good for 3 different model years. Does anyone have any experience with or know anything about this? Thanks, Xto |

![]() I never heard that, I don't see why you couldn't change it after it has been set back to stock. Your best bet would be to email hypertech and ask them, but make sure they aren't lying to you to just sell you a new one.
