Wasn't the MAF afterall
Well, yesterday I posted about modding the MAF.....and screwing up the car....
As it turns out, that mod doesn't work well with CAI. The bends create turbulent air, creating havoc with the sensors. After some...let's say....redneck ingenuity......we've mounted the K&N directly to the MAF....and it works great!! SES light is off, idles great, and no longer stalls. Now the only problem is we tossed the factory filter shroud.....so it's just sucking the hot air from the engine bay. We'll get that fixed ASAP. Anyway, just a warning to anyone wanting to attempt this mod.....I believe it works fine, as long as the sensors are not damaged, and you are not trying to use it with CAI.

I think I will try that factory box in place of the 90 degree bend on my MAC CAI...I thought it was the hot weather here in NJ when I lost 4-5 MPH and 5-7 tenths! Now I hafta buy another K&N...I gave mine away when I bought the MAC...=(
