Angry Way to noisy now

Offroad X-pipe plus MAC exhaust is just to damn noisy. The stupid mufflers now sound like most the internal baffing isnt welded. I have had cars with glasspacks that were so much quieter. Guess it time for Flowmaster 50 series.

I know what you mean, man. When I bought my Cobra it had a BBK offroad H-pipe with FACTORY mufflers and it was too loud for me. When you get rid of the cats, you really increase the noise. I am also thinking of getting some Flowmaster Delta Flow 3 chambers after I get my MAC h-pipe with hi-flow cats. I am going to wait until after I hear it with the H-pipe before I make a definite decision on the muffs. I like a little sound, but I don't like it too loud. I don't want my Mustang to sound as loud as a damn Harley without mufflers when I drive by! By the way, how do you like you MAC CAI?

Thumbs down

You guys are missing the point of having a Mustang they are meant to be loud that adds to the intimidation factor I'am not trying to start a flame but I think that a bad *** sounding Mustang is better than a raspy sounding Slowmaro or Firechicken anyday!!!!!!!1

I have to disagree. When it comes to a V-8 powered car I prefer it to have that deep tone that lets you know it will tear your heart out. Not this raspy high pitched wheezing I have now. I have never had a car with dual exhaust and no cats ever sound this bad. 1979 Firebird has no cats and flowmaster 3 chambers that is super mellow and no drone. I just hate to put money in an exhaust only to have to replace it already.

As for the MAC CAI, I like it alot. It helped knock 3 tenths off my time when car was stock. It to me seemed to help motor breath better at high rpm.

Ah put stock H-pipe back on. Soon as I have time I will order Dynomax cats and weld them into the X-pipe. For $51 each it will save me $100 compared to have buying the X-pipe with cats. Time to wipe the dust off the mig welder.

Ares,
Ives got an x-pipe w/cats and the dynomax mufflers. I think they're a great combo...

The vehicle has that nice throaty sound, but it doesn't wake up the neighborhood either.
The perfect combination in my opinion...

You can hear it by clicking on the link in my sig...

Cool, I'll check it out. With the X-pipe and MAC exhaust will wake up the dead 20 miles away , that not good.

That's what you get when you go with an offroad x-pipe and baffled mufflers. You might just try welding in some Dynomax ultraflows, which will quiet you down a bit and improve the sound. Or if you want it to sound better with baffled mufflers, you should try switching to a h-pipe...

Yah I may endup ditching this MAC system, tailpipes dont hang in right spot sounds bad with x-pipe. I may switch to Dynomax Super turbo mufflers I always like them plus they flow good.
