Question Is $200 a good price for Sub Frames & Installation?

...and starting at approx HP would someone say they are really needed?

I'm getting the Toruqe Box repaired and was wondering if to do subframes also.

thanks

$200 for both sounds reasonable.

Not including the Torque box. Just the subframes parts and labor are $200. Is that reasonable?

I don't know... for just the subframes and installation that sounds al ittle high to me. the actual frames are under 100 dollars new and for a couple of easy welds under the car shouldn't cost more than 50 dollars.

Ii know everyone does not have access to a welder but I did two of our cars with 38 bucks and a little work. 1X2" steel tubing, (heavy wall) and a little welding and they look and work as good as anything I've seen.
As for as horsepower, these things work no matter what the horsepower of the car. you'll be able to tell a big difference in the way it drives immediately.

I paid 89$ for my mac subs, and paid a guy 40$ to weld, it took alot more welding than i thought it would, but the guy was a freind, so 50$ for the welding would be good, i wouldnt pay anymore than that, so 150-200$ is about right, and i love mine, launching on a sticky tire it really keeps your car going straight, and the weight transfering good.

I paid $110 for my kenny brown super subs at his shop, then paid a guy at a local muffler shop $15 to weld them in.

200 is too much. Buy them outright, and then have a muffler shop weld them in

fiveohpatrol, i tried a muffler shop, and they looked at me like i was crazy, and said they could not move the fuel lines,

so i had a performance shop do the job, and he painted it up real nice afterwards to prevent rust, i still think i paid to much for the welding though

Cool. That sounds like an inexpensive route. So what brands are good for a 94/95 GT.

Anything is good, as long as they are welded, full lengths are better i hear, but they all serve the same purpose, the ones with reinforced seat mounting areas seem to be a good choice, but i've had no experience with them.

mine are just plain regular tubular standard length, and were designed for bolting on, but just weld them for best results. good luck, btw, 'kenny brown' makes good ones for sn95's.......
