Hey King Snake, I just put my pulleys on my 97 Cobrathis week and I am in Florida where AC is a must. I have seen no problems as of yet. What were you talking about when you said "spending time in traffic"? I haven't done that yet. Will I see some problems? I hope not. They were more trouble than they are worth to put in.
As for SFINN1, I'd definitely say throw those gears in, but go used. There are some good guys,especially on this site, that can give you really good deals on used gears. A lot of people throw a set in to realize that they do too much highway driving and drop down one ratio after a short time, leaving you with a barely used set of gears.
