Post Would headers help?

I have a 00'GT 5 speed and i'm looking to improve my 3rd gear. Every gear pulls like a champ except 3rd. I plan to pick up a MAC off road H-Pipe friday. Also, would a set of BBK headers help and if so should I get equal or unequal length headers?

i dont believe they make equal length headers for our cars. they are just lucky to get them to fit, let alone be the same length the only short header i've heard make any hp was the jba ones. like 8-12rwhp. the longtubes typically get 10-15rwhp. both are a real pain to install. the long tubes are worth the sound alone jmo.

If you are going to go through the trouble of putting headers on a mod motor, go with long tubes. From what I've heard, even the shorty JBA's don't make much power on a GT (more like 5 hp), but I have heard a lot of good things about long tubes. Should boost power throughout the rev range.
